From Saturday 8 August, face coverings must be worn by members of the public:
- attending funeral homes
- attending indoor funeral services at cemeteries, crematoria, burial ground chapels.
- indoor places of worship.
in England and Scotland.

The legislation does not appear to place any legal obligation on celebrants, funeral directors or their staff to wear face coverings. However, local venues may implement their own rules.
